Citizen Watch Company’s The CITIZEN models provide superior precision and high quality, symbolizing the company’s neverending pursuit of the essence of the watch. All models are equipped with a light-powered Eco-Drive movement with annual accuracy of ±5 seconds. CITIZEN will be launching four models from the new limited-edition Iconic Nature Collection. The dial of each model showcases the unique texture and depth of Tosa washi paper to express the beauty of the four seasons as viewed through a shakkei (“borrowed scenery”) window – a feature of Japanese architecture designed to frame outdoor landscapes for the viewing pleasure of those indoors.

The two models scheduled for launch in February showcase the delicate texture of the world’s thinnest washi paper — Tosa Tengujoshi — on the dial. The Spring Air model (AQ4100-06W) is inspired by a spring scene viewed through a window, with a subtle gradient contrasting the brilliant green of new leaves with a darker green hue. The Summer Azure model (AQ4100-14L) expresses the beauty of summer, blending shades of the bright blue sky, the sea, and fluffy white clouds. The Autumn Fantasia (AQ4102-01X) and Winter Serenity (AQ4100-22E) models, scheduled for launch in August, are inspired by views of autumn and winter as seen through a window in a traditional Japanese home. The dials of these two models feature Tosa washi Unryu paper, famous for its long fibers which create swirling patterns that bring to mind the image of a dragon flying through the clouds. The long fibers characteristic of Unryu paper provide a delicate accent to the gradient tones on the dial. These limited-edition models open up a window to the beauty and colors of the four seasons in Japan, allowing the wearer to appreciate the unique hues of each season.
All models are equipped with a high-accuracy Eco-Drive movement with annual accuracy of ±5 seconds. The case is made from lightweight Super TitaniumTM, making it both scratch resistant and gentle on the skin. The band uses crocodile leather sourced by a tanner certified by the Leather Working Group (LWG).

Washi paper has long been used in shoji sliding screens to bring natural light into living spaces, making it the ideal material for light-powered Eco-Drive watch dials.
The washi paper dial on this model brings to mind a shakkei window, framing breathtaking seasonal landscapes for the pleasure of the viewer.
The Spring Air and Summer Azure models feature the world’s thinnest washi paper – Tosa Tengujoshi – while the Autumn Fantasia and Winter Serenity models (to be launched in August) feature Tosa washi Unryu paper, producing a delicate texture and subtle gradient tones on each dial.

The high-precision movement has annual accuracy of ±5 seconds and features light-powered Eco-Drive technology that eliminates the need for regular battery changes.
All The CITIZEN Eco-Drive watches with annual accuracy figures and a date function are equipped with a perpetual calendar that will automatically adjust the length of the month in leap years, etc. until 28 February 2100. CITIZEN’s proprietary impact detection and lock function also prevents the watch hands from becoming misaligned due to external impacts or shocks. In the event that the hands do become misaligned, the automatic hand correction function will adjust to the correct time. The perpetual calendar changes instantly at the stroke of midnight.
Super TitaniumTM case
CITIZEN’s proprietary Super TitaniumTM is the ideal material for wristwatches – it is approximately 40% lighter and five times harder than stainless steel, as well as being rust-resistant and gentle on the skin.
